Design My Night creates new platform as online events rise 13,000%

Discovery and booking service Design My Night has launched Deliver My Night to support the hospitality industry during the covid-19 pandemic, as online events and experiences have soared by 13,000% since the UK went into lockdown.

Deliver My Night aims to help the hospitality industry stay in business during the covid-19 pandemic

The UK on-trade was ordered to temporarily close in March in a bid to combat the spread of coronavirus. Wagestream estimates there was a 98% slowdown in the UK’s hospitality sector at the beginning of April.

Design My Night attracts more than 3.5 million monthly users looking for tickets to events, or to book tables for bars, restaurants and pubs.

In response to the coronavirus pandemic, new platform Deliver My Night aims to support the hospitality sector and meet the rising demand for online events, and deliverable food and drinks offerings.

Since the end of March, Design My Night said it has recorded a “huge spike” in the deliverable cocktail services, with more than 100 UK bars now bottling their own drinks to be delivered either nationwide or locally.

According to Design My Night: “The hospitality industry is thinking on its feet like never before, bringing a whole new wave of delivery and online event options into focus.

“Organisers and owners are operating in creative ways to stay functional, and if the numbers are anything to go by, they are also building something that could last long after lockdown is over.”

Many bars around the world have turned to offering cocktails via delivery due to social-distancing measures. Here are some of the world’s best bars offering quality cocktails to your door.
