Cotswolds Distillery launches Wildflower Gin
English producer The Cotswolds Distillery has unveiled the first expression in its new Wildflower Gin Collection, which has been created to tap into the Spritz drinking occasion.
The new No. 1 Wildflower Gin carries an ABV of 41.7%
The new No.1 Wildflower Gin is inspired by the wildflowers grown in the Cotswolds area.
The gin is made by distilling a London Dry base which contains juniper, coriander and angelica root in the site’s 500-litre Holstein still, Lorelei. It is then blended with the essences of orange, lavender, cornflowers and rhubarb root before adding a touch of sugar and filtered water to bring the bottling strength down to 41.7% ABV.
Dan Szor, founder and CEO of Cotswolds Distillery, said: “We were inspired to create No.1 Wildflower Gin by the long, relaxing drinking occasion and this, coupled with the impressive growth in the Spritz market, led us to create an exciting addition to our gin portfolio that can be enjoyed in a refreshing new way.”
The “fragrant” gin is described as “bursting with natural flavour and delicate floral aromas of summer meadows”.
The expression is presented in a glass bottle with a label decorated with British wildflowers.
No. 1 Wildflower Gin is available to buy online from the Cotswolds Distillery website, priced at RRP £34.95 (US$43) per 700ml.
