Cîroc donates $1m to Diddy’s celebrity dance-a-thon

Diageo-owned vodka brand Cîroc donated US$1 million to a nine-hour online dance-a-thon hosted by Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, which was virtually attended by celebrities including Jennifer Lopez and Drake.

Combs hosted the Team Love Dance-A-Thon on 12 April to raise money for healthcare workers through Direct Relief, which liaises with other firms in the US to deliver protective equipment to healthcare organisations across the country.

Combs said: “I am honoured that my partners at Cîroc are stepping up to donate US$1m to support our healthcare workers in underserved communities.

“Cîroc and I believe that with the power of unity and togetherness we can make a difference. Even though right now we can’t all physically be together, we still stand united.

“We celebrated all day to show our first responders and communities that we’re with them and we ain’t going nowhere.”

During the dance-a-thon, Combs raised a glass of his signature Cîroc cocktail, called the #WeAintGoinNowhere, while catching up with Lopez and former baseball star Alex Rodriguez.

He later spent time with rapper Drake while sipping Cîroc Peach Vodka in a Bellini.

Last year, Cîroc launched a limited edition white grape flavour.
