By Owen BellwoodAward-winning bar Swift has unveiled a new cocktail menu that celebrates Soho, the London neighbourhood the venue calls home.
Swift has launched a new menu of drinks inspired by Soho in London
Swift’s Hospitality Menu, which is available at its downstairs bar, features 15 new cocktails that highlight the heritage, people and places of London’s Soho.
Swift’s menu features drinks inspired by the Windmill Theatre and the Flamingo nightclub
The menu features drinks inspired by “Soho staples”, such as the LGBT community, coffee culture and the neighbourhood’s vibrant music scene.
Drinks on the Hospitality Menu include the Flamingo All Nighter, which celebrates Soho’s The Flamingo Club and contains Monkey Shoulder Scotch, pomegranate, Aperitivo Select, lemon and egg white; and the Scala, which draws its influences from its namesake theatre and combines Beefeater Gin, gooseberry, picpoul de pinet, lime sherbet and geranium.
Drinkers in the London bar can also sample the Parakeet, which takes inspiration from the story of American guitarist Jimi Hendrix releasing his two pet parakeets in Soho, and the Windmill, inspired by the Windmill Theatre and made with Lot 40 Rye, Martini Ambrato, Caperitif and banana.
Five classic Swift cocktails will remain on the list, including the bar’s signature Irish Coffee, which is made with a Colombian dark-roast filter coffee from Soho’s Algerian Coffee Stores, hand-whipped cream, demerara sugar and stout-finished Irish whiskey.
