Speciality Drinks creates wellbeing packs for trade

On-trade wholesaler Speciality Drinks teamed up with Edrington-Beam Suntory UK to donate wellbeing packages to industry workers during the covid-19 pandemic – 1,000 of which were snapped up in one evening.

Speciality Drinks and Edrington-Beam Suntory UK have partnered to support the drinks and hospitality industries during the pandemic

The wellbeing packs were launched yesterday (25 March) and contained food and store-cupboard goods.

The companies created an initial run of 1,000 packages, which have already been ordered by those eligible to receive a pack. Both companies said there was “scope to produce many more” if needed.

The packs are available to anyone who works for a licensed hospitality business in the UK. To receive a pack, workers should visit the Speciality Drinks website and provide the requested details. Applicants can submit their email address to be notified when the packs are back in stock.

The initiative is being funded by Edrington-Beam Suntory UK.

Rajbir Singh, co-founder of Speciality Drinks, said: “Covid-19 has left people vulnerable in our industry – an industry that has supported us as we’ve grown as a company.

“We see those working for licensed businesses as part of our family and we want them to know that they are not alone, and that we will do as much as we can to help them to take care of themselves and their families.”

To help workers across the hospitality sector during the coronavirus pandemic, The Spirits Business has compiled a list of resources offering up-to-date advice and support.
