Jack Daniel’s campaign celebrates global connections
Brown-Forman has launched a new campaign for Jack Daniel’s to celebrate how people around the world are staying connected during the coronavirus pandemic.
Titled ‘With Love, Jack’, the video has been posted across the Tennessee whiskey brand’s social media platforms.
It was created from videos of genuine human interactions that were “filmed authentically, and safely” from home.
The video has been set to a new version of Cyndi Lauper’s True Colors, which was also recorded from home by the singers featured in the video.
Matt Blevins, Jack Daniel’s global brand director, said: “Showcasing how our friends around the world are rallying and uniting together during these times was our goal.
“It was about capturing real moments that are helping folks find social connection, which is something Jack Daniel’s celebrates.”
Brown-Forman has donated US$1 million to covid-19 relief efforts and the Jack Daniel’s Distillery has started creating alcohol to be used in hand sanitiser for first responders.
Josh Gross, co-chief creative officer of Energy BBDO, Jack Daniel’s creative agency, said: “We’ve all had to rapidly adapt to this new reality, and we discovered this magical thing where people are finding really creative and beautiful ways to stay connected during this time of social distancing.”
