Mirabeau Rosé Gin is latest pink expression
By Melita KielyProvence wine brand Mirabeau has joined the expanding pink gin trend with its own colourful iteration – marking the company’s first foray into spirits.
Mirabeau Rosé Gin is a new pink expression
The brand’s British founders, Stephen and Jeany Cronk, were behind Mirabeau Rosé Gin.
The expression was made by extracting grape alcohol from the dealcoholisation process during the production of Mirabeau’s new lower-ABV rosé wine.
Botanicals used in the gin’s production are: juniper, citrus, orris root, angelica root, coriander seed, rose petals, lavender, jasmine, bay, thyme and rosemary.
The gin is described as a classic dry gin, and tasting notes include subtle fruitiness, floral tones and a “finely balanced herbaceous character”.
Mirabeau Rosé Gin is recommended as a sipping gin, mixed in a Martini or with tonic water.
Bottled at 43% ABV, Mirabeau Rosé Gin is being launched exclusively in Waitrose & Partners stores in the UK from January 2020, priced at RRP £35 (US$46).
