Milestone Brands debuts Campo Bravo Tequila in US
By Nicola CarruthersAmerican spirits company Milestone Brands has entered into a joint venture with Mexico’s Grupo PSA to bring Campo Bravo Tequila to the US.
Campo Bravo Tequila is heading to the US
Campo Bravo, which means ‘brave field’ in Spanish, was created by fifth generation agave growers using 100% blue weber agave.
Available in plata (silver), the 40% ABV Tequila has “vanilla aromas with a hint of white chocolate” on the nose, while the palate brings “herbal tones and spices such as black pepper that elegantly integrate citrus flavours of lemon and grapefruit”.
The Tequila is recommended served as a shot and in cocktails such as a Margarita.
Designed by Stranger & Stranger, the bottle incorporates modern Mexican cues with a howling wolf depicted on the label.
“We are thrilled to bring Campo Bravo Tequila into the Milestone Brands family. We felt a strong passion from our new partners at Grupo PSA as well as to the brand attributes of the Camp Bravo Tequila brand and its roots,” said Eric Dopkins, founder and CEO of Milestone Brands.
“Campo Bravo is made by agave farmers who’ve spent their lives working on perfecting both agave and Tequila. It is truly a brand that overdelivers in quality, packaging and value.”
According to Milestone Brands, the Tequila category continues to be one of the world’s fastest growing spirits categories, rising by double digits in 2019.
“We are thrilled about our future partnership with Milestone Brands and our joint venture with Campo Bravo’s future in the US,” said Roberto Cipres, founder and president of Grupo PSA, a global producer of agave nectar.
Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
Campo Bravo Tequila Plata is priced between US$20 and US$22 per 750ml bottle. It will launch in the US in January 2020 and has gained listings from retailers such as Walmart, Publix, Twin Liquors, and Raley’s Supermarkets.
