Guy Lawrence joins Brockmans as managing director

British gin brand Brockmans has appointed former Mast-Jaegermeister UK chief executive Guy Lawrence as its new managing director.

Guy Lawrence will help to boost Brockmans’ presence across the world

Joining Brockmans on 12 January 2020, Lawrence will focus on the company’s global expansion.

The super-premium gin is available in 50 countries, and extending the brand’s geographical footprint, mainly in the US, is a “strategic priority”.

Prior to joining Mast-Jägermeister, Lawrence was European managing director for Russian Standard Vodka and spent 16 years at Bacardi in various senior positions.

Neil Everitt, Brockmans’ founder, said: “Guy is a stellar addition to the team, and attracting talent of his calibre and experience shows what an exciting journey Brockmans is on.

“Guy has worked with some of the world’s best-known spirits brands and overseen their rapid growth trajectories and the team are very excited to start working with him.”

Lawrence added: “It’s exciting to be able to join a brand and team with so much potential.”

In October this year, former Diageo CEO Paul Walsh acquired a stake in Brockmans for an undisclosed sum. Walsh also joined Brockmans’ advisory board as the brand “finalises a new five-year growth plan designed to double sales”.
