Chris Shaw will lead Diageo Australia’s sales strategy
Shaw has worked for the Johnnie Walker maker since 2001 and is currently channel director for on-trade, independent retail and wholesale.
Shaw will assume his new position on 3 February 2020, when he will join Diageo Australia’s executive team. Shaw will also work with the firm’s agency partner to develop its business in New Zealand.
According to Diageo Australia’s managing director, David Smith, Shaw has a “great track record of people leadership, building strong partnerships and developing win-win strategies and plans”.
Shaw said: “I’m excited about the opportunities ahead working closely with our customers and partners to maintain delivery of strong business outcomes for all.
“I’ll focus on building the talent of our people, constantly drive to always raise the standards of the critical supplier/customer partnership and advocate for ease of doing business together.”
Shaw takes over from Andrew Clarke, who will join Accolade Wines as its regional managing director for Australia and New Zealand.
