Sydney Opera House launches gin blending tour

Australian distillery Archie Rose has partnered with the Sydney Opera House to launch a limited edition gin tour and blending experience.

Guests will tour the Sydney Opera House before tasting and blending their own gin

Launching in November, the experience combines a tour of the iconic music hall, gin tasting and a bespoke blending experience.

Jade McKellar, Sydney Opera House director of visitor experience, said: “The Opera House is a place like no other. We are always looking for new ways for people to discover the history of this incredible building and to share in its magic.”

Following a tour of the venue, guests will be able to taste two limited edition Archie Rose gins, called Outside and Inside. The two spirits were each inspired by the coastal surroundings of the Sydney Opera House and the international artists it showcases.

McKellar added: “It’s been fantastic to work with Archie Rose on the release of its new Sydney Opera House-inspired gins and to be able to bring our collaboration to life with such a unique sensory tour experience.”

Finally, attendees of the experience will be able to create and taste their own signature gin blend, made using Archie Rose’s pure botanical distillates.

Harriet Leigh, Archie Rose head of hospitality, said: “We’re utterly delighted to bring our famous gin blending experiences to the world’s most beautiful building. Touring Sydney Opera House and creating your own bespoke gin under its sails is, in our opinion, a dream come true.”

The exclusive experience will take place over six nights from 7-16 November and tickets are available for AU$95 (US$65) per person.
