Basil Hayden’s unveils Bourbon-infused cheese

Beam Suntory-owned Basil Hayden’s has teamed up with a US dairy to create a Bourbon-infused cheese.

The Pour Me A Slice cheese has been infused with Basil Hayden’s Bourbon

The special offering, called Pour Me A Slice, is a semi-firm Jersey cow’s milk cheese infused with Basil Hayden’s Bourbon. It is described as being “sweet with a hint of spice”.

The cheese has been created in collaboration with Utah-based creamery Beehive Cheese. The high-rye profile of the Bourbon provides a “one-of-a-kind” flavour to the cheese, which is recommended paired with Basil Hayden’s neat, over ice or in a cocktail.

“We’re thrilled to collaborate with Beehive Cheese to create a special addition to their line-up of expertly crafted cheeses,” said Rob Mason, vice president of marketing for whiskey at Beam Suntory.

“Basil Hayden’s has always valued creating expressions that are best enjoyed with friends and family, so we think ‘Pour Me A Slice’ is a perfect pairing when sharing our Bourbon with friends and family.”

Pat Ford, co-founder of Beehive Cheese, added: “We’re excited to partner with Basil Hayden’s because the trademark spice of this Bourbon adds a really unique flavour to the cheese that makes it perfect for a gathering or gifting.”

Basil Hayden’s Beehive Cheese Pour Me A Slice is available online from BeehiveCheese.com for US$5.49 per four-ounce wedge. It will also be available in select retailers across the US in the coming months.
