Drake brings Virginia Black whiskey to the Middle East
Rap artist Drake has secured a deal with luxury spirits retailer Le Clos to stock his Virginia Black American whiskey at Dubai International Airport.
Drake’s Virginia Black whiskey is now available in Dubai via Le Clos
Drake launched Virginia Black in 2016 in collaboration with De Léon Tequila founder Brent Hocking. The liquid is a blend of two-, three- and four-year-old Bourbon, and is said to have a high-rye mash bill.
Available for US$56, the whiskey is now available from Le Clos outlets in Terminals 1 and 3 at Dubai International Airport. The deal marks Virginia Black’s launch in the Middle East.
“We are extremely excited to bring Virginia Black to the Middle East and are confident that the market expertly serviced by our partner Le Clos will appreciate and enjoy it”, said Hocking, partner and CEO of the brand.
“Virginia Black was made to give people access to the finer things in life, not just on special occasions, and hence we feel it’s a natural fit for Dubai and the wider region.”
To mark the launch, Le Clos is offering those who purchase Virginia Black the chance to win a bottle signed by Drake. Le Clos opened its store in the arrivals area of Dubai International’s Terminal 3 in August last year.
Virginia Black is described as “rich, decadent and smooth”
