Chabot Armagnac eyes international expansion

Armagnac brand Chabot has secured a travel retail listing with Heinemann for its core range in Sydney, Australia.

Chabot VS Armagnac launched in June 2019

Chabot’s core range will launch in Sydney through Heinemann in September this year. It is already available in more than 100 countries.

In additional news, the brand released Chabot Armagnac VS in June, hailed as the “youngest blended Armagnac on the market”. It will be unveiled at the TFWA World Exhibition & Conference in Cannes in October.

The expression has been matured for a minimum of two years and is said to have notes of plum and apple on the nose, leading to a “warm, balanced flavour, dominated by fresh fruits”.

Kathleen Gentzbourger, president of Chabot Armagnac, said: “We are very excited about the future and our plans to build and develop our presence within the travel retail and global market.

“Chabot has been in duty free for many years and we are already a global brand, but we are not satisfied yet, We have great relationships with our retailer partners and as they expand their networks, we are looking to develop our presence too and introduce the Chabot name to more shoppers and nationalities across the globe.”

As part of its global drive, Chabot has unveiled numerous “high-profile promotions and campaigns” in travel retail. It has also invested in recruiting more ambassadors to build awareness of the brand.
