Mr Fogg’s creates cocktail for private jets

London bar Mr Fogg’s Society of Exploration has partnered with private air charter service 365 Aviation to create a cocktail that will be served onboard its flights.

Mr Fogg’s has created the Chocks Away cocktail for service on 365 Aviation flights

Matteo Carretta, head bartender at the London venue, drew inspiration from the history of air travel to create Chocks Away, which will be available at Mr Fogg’s Society of Exploration and on all 365 Aviation flights.

The cocktail has been described as being “a twist on the traditional Martini”, blending Grey Goose L’Original Vodka, St-Germain Elderflower liqueur and Martini Riserva Speciale Ambrato vermouth, and garnished with a drop of olive oil mixed red food colouring floating on top.

Chocks Away is served with a scroll wrapped around the stem of the glass that depicts the original designs for the first Victorian-era flying machine.

As well as being served on 365 Aviation flights, the Chocks Away will be available at Mr Fogg’s Society of Exploration until November, at a cost of £13 (US$16).

Mr Fogg’s Society of Exploration, the fifth venue in the chain of Around the World in 80 Days-themed bars, opened last year with a competition to find the next great British explorer.

Owned by bar operator Inception Group, which was founded in 2009 by Charlie Gilkes and Duncan Stirling, Mr Fogg’s currently operates six venues across London.
