CBD-infused RTDs hit the market

Newly-launched wellness brand Meda has created a range of cannabidiol-infused ready-to-drink (RTD) beverages said to “restore the body’s balance”.

Meda has created four flavoured CBD-infused RTDs

Meda is the latest brand to launch products infused with cannabidiol (CBD) in the UK, following alcohol-free cocktail bitters from CBD brand Oto and a CBD-infused rum from Halewood Wines & Spirits-owned brand Dead Man’s Fingers.

According to the brand it has identified a “gap in the market” for its beverage collection, which includes four flavoured RTDs that pair CBD with other supplements that promote wellbeing.

The brand’s Calm, Focus, Defence and Recover RTDs pair CBD with ingredients such as lavender to increase calm, cranberry to act as a natural antioxidant and turmeric for its anti-inflammatory qualities.

Packaged in 150ml cans, the Meda range will be available to buy in the UK from 12 August priced at £33 (US$40.21) per pack of six cans.

Founded by Adam Feldheim, Meda plans to release its products in department stores as well as launching its own direct-to-consumer mail-order and subscription service.

Meda, which is made with CBD sourced from UK-based producer British Cannabis, will launch two new SKUs entitled Sleep and Glow in mid-September. Meda will continue to expand its product line throughout 2020.
