Sushisamba adds bottled cocktails to drinks menu

London restaurant Sushisamba has unveiled a menu of bottled cocktails to be served by the glass or as large sharing bottles.

London bar Sushisamba has added three bottled cocktails to its drinks menu

Developed by head of spirit and cocktail development Rich Woods, the new bottle-conditioned cocktails will be served up table-side over ice via a custom cocktail cart.

Drinks on the bottled cocktail menu include the Cherry Blossom Negroni, infused with cherry blossom and made with Bombay Sapphire gin, Martini Riserva Speciale Rubino and Martini Riserva Speciale Bitter, and the Piña Colada Old Fashioned, which is infused with pineapple and coconut and combines Bacardi Añejo Cuatro and Carta Negra rums.

Priced at £13 (US$16.50) per serve, the bottled cocktail list also features the Coffee and Chocolate Boulevardier, which is made with Monkey Shoulder Scotch whisky, Campari, Punt e Mes and chocolate bitters.

In addition to new bottled cocktails, Woods has also refreshed the Sushisamba signature cocktail list – adding nine new creations to the menu.

New drinks include the Tangerine Spritz, made with Hendricks gin, tangerine infusion, shiso sugar and yuzu juice, and the A-nise Tequila Sour, which combines Thai basil, Arette Tequila, Ancho Reyes verde chilli liqueur, yuzu, egg white and pistachio orgeat.

Visitors to the London venue can also sample the Banana Batida, made with Velho Barreiro cachaça, banana purée and lime, and the Melon Spritz, which combines sake, Italicus liqueur, plum and melon shrub, tarragon and grapefruit bitters, bay leaf and Prosecco.

Earlier this month, Woods announced he had acquired an “equal stake” in London bar Scout, joining forces with Matt Whiley as co-partner, co-owner and co-cocktail conspirator of the venue.
