Slingsby kicks off sport-focused Summer Series campaign
Yorkshire-based gin brand Slingsby has kicked off its Summer Series campaign, which will see the brand sponsor key sporting events in the UK.
Yorkshire-based Slingsby Gin has launched its Summer Series campaign
As part of the Summer Series, Slingsby Gin was in attendance at the Tour De Yorkshire cycling event and Chestertons Polo in the Park. The brand will also host activations at Cowes Week, BMW PGA Championships and events hosted by Yorkshire Country Cricket Club and Leeds Rhinos rugby league.
The campaign has so far seen a Slingsby-branded Land Rover participate in the Tour De Yorkshire and the brand was named official gin supplier at Chestertons Polo in the Park.
Marcus Black, co-founder of Slingsby Gin producer Spirit of Harrogate, said: “We have a heritage in sports association, so launching the Slingsby Summer Series campaign was a natural step for us to formally build on this.
“Throughout all the events we will be supporting this year our aim is for the Slingsby brand to be enjoyed by thousands – we want people to trial the product, learn more about our brand and our heritage in Harrogate. This year we have launched our new Gooseberry Gin variant and we can’t wait for people to taste it this summer.”
The campaign will see Slingsby become the headline gin supplier at sailing regatta Cowes Week in August. Slingsby will be available at all bars throughout the week and will also have a branded yacht competing in a race around the Isle of Wight.
In September, Slingsby will be the official gin sponsor of the BMW PGA Championships at Wentworth Club. The partnership will see the company sponsor the popular Championship Show Live music and entertainment stage, which will become the Slingsby Show Stage.
Finally, the gin brand will continue its involvement with Yorkshire Country Cricket Club and Leeds Rhinos rugby league club, both based at Yorkshire’s Headingley Stadium.
