Ryan Reynolds and Fyre Festival’s King star in Aviation Gin ad

Actor Ryan Reynolds has released a short humorous video that shows his commitment to Aviation Gin ahead of Father’s Day (16 June).

Ryan Reynolds is depicted making the Aviation bottles by hand in a new video

The Deadpool star acquired Oregon-made Aviation American Gin in February 2018 for an undisclosed sum.

The new 60-second spot coincides with the launch of a limited edition Aviation Gin bottle, featuring Reynolds’ signature.

Launched ahead of Father’s Day, the bottle was created “for the dads in your life who are always willing to go the extra mile”.

As he narrates the video, Reynolds is depicted making the Aviation bottles by hand and etching his signature onto the bottle.

“How far would you go for your company? It’s a question I ask myself everyday,” said Reynolds in a voiceover. “After falling in love with Aviation Gin, I didn’t just buy another bottle, I bought the whole company.”

“When Aviation Gin became the fastest-growing gin in the world, I didn’t pat myself on the back or take the day off. I started working even harder.”

In the video, he also claims to have made “every single bottle personally” before engraving it by hand.

“That’s why when Aviation recently suggested making a signature bottle, I committed to making every single bottle personally and then engraving them by hand,”added Reynolds. “Because can you ever really go too far for your company? I just don’t think it’s possible.”

At the end of the video, Andy King, who worked on the infamous Fyre Festival, is seen watching the Aviation Gin advert in a bar.

“He gets it. I’ll have another Aviation Gin,” said King to the bartender.

The limited edition Aviation Gin bottle is available to buy from reservebar.com for US$36 per 750ml.

Reynolds and King are donating a portion of all proceeds from the limited edition bottle to the Exuma Foundation for those harmed by the Fyre Festival, a failed “luxury music festival” held in 2017.
