Diageo recruits World of Zing for atomised garnishes
Bottled cocktail specialist World of Zing has partnered with Diageo-owned Tanqueray gin to create an atomised garnish for the on-trade.
World of Zing has created atomiser garnishes to highlight Tanqueray’s “fresh citrus heart”
Launching in select markets in Europe, the Tanqueray No Ten Atomisers are made with a base of grapefruit and chamomile – two key botanicals found in the gin.
The atomiser garnish has been created to “enhance” a Tanqueray and tonic by “unlocking the gin’s fresh citrus heart”.
To use the atomiser, the bartender simply sprays it over a freshly prepared Tanqueray No Ten and tonic before serving it to the consumer.
Pritesh Mody, founder of World of Zing, said: “With our world-class cocktail development facility and partnership with one of the UK’s largest spice merchants, the World of Zing team is constantly pushing the boundaries of flavour and drinking experiences.
“Aroma has increasingly become a crucial part of cocktail culture, particularly in order to enhance the flavour and create a more immersive experience. The Tanqueray No Ten Atomisers will provide a subtle yet exciting new dimension to the classic G&T serve, whether you are in a beach bar in Barcelona or a hotel bar in London.”
The atomisers are being launched into key on-trade accounts in Germany, Italy, Spain, Ireland and the UK. Venues in the UK already showcasing the atomisers include The Hoxton, London, and Montpeliers, Edinburgh.
