Jägermeister creates ice pack-inspired bottle design

Herbal liqueur brand Jägermeister has launched its new Coolpack bottle design in the US, which has been inspired by freezer ice packs.

Jägermeister’s new bottle design combines the look of its signature glass bottle with traditional freezer packs

The brand’s new plastic Coolpack bottle is its first non-glass bottle, and has been designed to fit into a backpack at festivals, barbecues, picnics and other activities where “a glass bottle is not practical”.

The new packaging combines the design of the classic Jägermeister bottle with traditional freezer packs, while retaining the brand’s dark green signature colour. After storing in the freezer, the Coolpack can be thrown in a backpack or cooler to help elevate any outdoor occasion.

Jack Carson, director of innovation at Jägermeister, said: “Not just a clever name, the new bottle iteration is cool in every sense of the word.

“When creating the Coolpack bottle design, we wanted to create something that allowed our Jägermeister fans to enjoy the beloved herbal liqueur on-the-go, no matter the destination. Now, the possibilities are truly endless for where and when you and your friends can enjoy Jägermeister.”

The new 375ml plastic bottle cools quicker than a glass bottle and is said to be a packaging-extension, and not a replacement for the brand’s signature green glass bottle.

Last month, the brand’s parent company Mast-Jägermeister reported a 5% sales increase for 2018, said to be aided by “exceptional growth” in Asia.
