Kahani draws on Indian influences for latest menu
London restaurant and bar Kahani has looked to India for inspiration for its latest cocktail menu, which features drinks infused with tandoori pineapple and cardamom.
The latest cocktail menu at Kahani has been inspired by the flavours of India
Developed by head sommelier and bar manager Dimitrios Dendramis and head bartender Giuseppe Ceradini, the menu contains nine signature serves created to complement the restaurant’s food offering.
Ceradini said: “A lot of thought goes into creating the right flavour combinations for our customers. We want our visitors to enjoy delicate and unusual flavour and spice combinations that will reflect and complement the dishes we serve.
“Our cocktails are crafted to entice visually and to excite your palette, whilst remaining true to our Indian roots and using the best quality British ingredients.”
The Tandoori Ananas features on the new menu at London bar and restaurant Kahani
Drinks on the new menu include the Tandoori Ananas, which combines home-made spiced rum, pineapple juice, lime juice, tandoori pineapple and cinnamon powder, and the PJ’s Kahani, made using vodka, crème de mûre, lemon juice, jasmine tea, blackberry and egg white.
The menu also features the Khatta Gin, made with gin, Amaro Montenegro, lime juice, egg white and fresh mint, and The SW1, named in honour of the restaurant’s postcode and made with saffron and cardamom-infused Tequila, Cointreau, lime juice and fresh mint.
Peter Joseph, head chef of Kahani, said: “Kahani is all about revolutionising people’s expectations, and that applies to the drinks as much as the food. We’ve created a cocktail menu that matches bold flavours together in a way that people won’t have experienced before.”
The new menu is available now, with cocktails priced between £14 (US$18) and £18 (US$23).
