Seedlip unveils ‘world’s first’ non-alcoholic apéritif range
Seedlip will launch a new apéritif brand next year, which is thought to be the world’s first non-alcoholic apéritif range.

The new brand, called Aecorn Apéritifs, will debut in early 2019 with three new expressions.
Aecorn is inspired by the “European apéritif tradition” and English herbal remedies from the 17th century.
Each expression will be produced from English grapes and aromatised with herbs, roots and bitter botanicals.
The range is designed to provide “adult, complex options to enjoy with food”.
Aecorn signifies the old English spelling of ‘acorn’ – ‘æcorn’ – with the acorn representing “new beginnings, potential and perseverance”.
The range is the brainchild of Claire Warner, managing director of Aecorn Apéritifs. Emma Murphy, former director of London Wine Week, has joined the firm as Aecorn Apéritifs’ head of marketing.
“We are thrilled to be following in Seedlip’s footsteps and breaking new ground in the category they created,” said Warner.
“Since Seedlip’s launch, the world of non-alcoholic has shown itself to be dynamic and exciting, and we hope that the introduction of Aecorn Apéritifs will additionally help solve the dilemma of what to enjoy with food, when you’re not drinking.
“Seedlip has given those who are not drinking a seat at the bar, and now Aecorn Apéritifs will give everyone who is not drinking, a seat at the table.”
Aecorn Apéritifs will be available to buy online and through wider distribution in early 2019. The range is available in 500ml bottles and in cases of six.
Ben Branson, founder of Seedlip, added: “Since launching Seedlip three years ago, the global traction has been both surreal and overwhelmingly positive.
“We are still just scratching the surface of the category’s potential and Aecorn Apéritifs takes us another step closer to our aim of changing the way the world drinks.”
In July this year, booze-free ‘spirit’ Seedlip launched its third product – Seedlip Grove 42.
