La Guilde du Cognac makes travel retail debut

William Grant & Sons has launched terroir-driven Cognac range La Guilde du Cognac in travel retail through Duty Zero by CDF at Hong Kong International Airport.

La Guilde du Cognac will be exclusively available though China Duty Free Group in travel retail for the remainder of 2018

The range will initially launch as part of an exclusive partnership with Duty Zero, the joint venture between China Duty Free Group and Lagardère Travel Retail.

William Grant & Sons announced its partnership with La Guilde du Cognac earlier this year. The group will focus on expanding the brand’s distribution to new markets before making collaborative products with its founder Jean-Sébastien Robicquet.

La Guilde du Cognac’s travel retail debut, which also marks the first time the brand has launched outside of Europe, will be supported by two promotion spots at Hong Kong International Airport that highlight its single village proposition.

Ed Cottrell, managing director of global travel retail at William Grant & Sons, said: “The new look retail space has been fantastically renovated and provides an ideal space for launching a discerning product range such as La Guilde du Cognac.

“We could not ask for a better environment in which to launch this superb collection of four single terroir Cognacs.”

La Guilde du Cognac will be exclusively available in travel retail through Duty Zero by CDF for the remainder of 2018 and will be rolled out to other duty free markets next year.
