The Cuba Libre Fizz features on the latest menu at Pulitzer’s Bar
The menu aims to transport guests to key moments in the Pulitzer Prize winning author’s life.
Created by head bartender Andrei Talapenscu the new menu is split into three sections each referencing a different part of the writer’s career.
Pulitzer’s Bar has created libations centred around Hemingway’s time in Italy during the First World War, a visit to Cuba where he wrote Old Man and the Sea, and his time in Paris during the roaring ’20s.
Drinks on the new menu are listed with flavour descriptors, rather than ingredients and base spirits, and include the Jackie Rose, which is described as being sweet, tart, fruity and refreshing, and the Silver Medal, said to be long, light, bitter and sweet.
The menu also features the Bohemian Evening, a sparkling cocktail that tastes herbal, aromatic and fresh, and the Santiago Collins, which is long, refreshing, tart and spicy.
