UK-based Maverick Drinks has partnered with Asian spirits distributor Proof & Company to launch Jerry, a global education platform for bartenders.
Named in honour of famed bartender Jerry Thomas, author of The Bartender’s Guide, Jerry represents the collective knowledge of some of the industry’s leading names, including P(our) founder, Monica Berg; Employees Only creative director, Michael Callahan; Agung Prabowo of The Old Man, Hong Kong; and Micaela Piccol, Maison Ferrand brand ambassador.
Jerry head of education and certified teacher, Nicole Smith, said: “Our goal with Jerry is to develop beverage professionals and empower owners and managers with an e-learning solution that makes the move to paperless training seamless. The platform works for hotels, cocktail bars, restaurants and pubs alike.”
With Jerry, managers from across the hospitality industry will be able to set training for their staff online using a library of activities and courses written by industry experts.

Each topic covered includes introductory, foundational, advanced, professional and expert level courses. As users progress through the library of courses, they will deepen their knowledge and experience.
Jerry is now available to individuals, teams and corporates in the UK and the portal is accessible anywhere, on any device.
