Riga Black Balsam launches 2018 Cocktail Challenge
Herbal liqueur brand Riga Black Balsam has launched the latest iteration of its Cocktail Challenge, which is offering a total prize fund of €5,000 (US$5,840).
Bartenders will compete for their share of a €5,000 prize fund
The competition is now open for bartenders to enter, with finalists travelling to Riga, Latvia, on 29 November to compete for their share of the prize fund.
Māris Kalniņš, global brand director for Riga Black Balsam, said: “The unique taste properties and richness of flavours make Riga Black a superb base for any cocktails – from simple to the most sophisticated ones, opening endless opportunities for masters of mixology.

Bartenders hoping to enter should visit rigablack.com/championship where they will be able to submit the recipe for their cocktail, which must include a minimum of 20ml of Riga Black Balsam.
In August last year, Amber Beverage Group extended its Riga Black Balsam herbal liqueur line with a cherry-flavoured expression.
