Campari to sponsor Venice International Film Festival

Italian apéritif Campari has been named the main sponsor of the 75th Venice International Film Festival.

The Campari Lounge will pop up near the red carpet of the 75th Venice International Film Festival

Campari’s sponsorship of the world-renowned event aims to confirm its “ever-stronger bond with the world of cinema” as it joins the film festival in its promotion of international films.

As part of the sponsorship deal, the apéritif brand will launch the Passion for Film award, which aims to promote the contribution made by the director’s closest collaborators to the artistic vision of each film.

The Passion for Film award will recognise cinematographers, composers and screenwriters as artists and co-authors of the finished films that they have dedicated their talents to.

Campari will be present at the Lido with a lounge near the festival’s red carpet as well as with activations in other dedicated festival spaces.

Lastly, Campari cocktails will be served to guests at the opening and closing ceremonies of the Venice International Film Festival, as well as at the most exclusive events taking place throughout the festival.

Campari’s union with the silver screen has seen it carry out a number of collaborations with internationally renowned directors and actors in a variety of different campaigns. The Italian apéritif recently unveiled its short film The Legend of Red Hand, which starred Guardians of the Galaxy star Zoe Saldana.
