Patrón has expanded its liqueur range with the launch of Citrónge Pineapple
Patrón Citrónge Pineapple is a Tequila-based liqueur made with piña miel pineapples from the Mexican state of Veracruz.
On the palate, it is described as having “distinct notes of fresh, ripe pineapple”, while also being “soft and sweet with a long-lasting light aftertaste”.
Lee Applbaum, global chief marketing officer at Patrón Spirits, said: “Pineapple continues to be a hot trend both in culinary and mixology, and increased interest in innovative and delicious cocktails, particularly in the tiki movement, is further driving momentum of this very flavourful tropical fruit.
“Patrón Citrónge Pineapple is a perfect addition to the Citrónge family; it pairs beautifully with Tequila, and it has a tremendously versatile flavour profile that makes it an excellent addition to a wide variety of handcrafted cocktails.”
Patrón Citrónge Pineapple is available in 375ml, 750ml and one-litre formats.
Bottled at 35% abv, the pineapple-flavoured liqueur carries a recommended retail price of US$22.99 per 750ml bottle.
Earlier this month, Patrón Spirits International announced it had reshuffled its North American leadership team and merged a number of sales regions.
