McQueen Gin unveils ‘eco-friendly’ glass bottle
McQueen Gin is leaving its “iconic” blue ceramic bottle behind as it introduces a new “eco-friendly” glass design.
McQueen Gin launches new glass bottle design
The new-look bottle was unveiled as part of Aldi’s ‘Scottish Gin Festival’, which is currently running online via the supermarket’s website.
McQueen Gin’s Sweet Citrus expression is the first in its range to be available in the new packaging, which retains the original bottle’s shape and engraving.
Dale McQueen, founder and managing director of McQueen Gin, said: “Our bottle design has been central to the establishment of our brand and the popularity of the gin.
“However, with our beautiful planet in mind, we decided it was time to look into introducing a more eco-friendly glass bottle to the current range.”
Based at the Trossachs Distillery Company in Callander, Stirling, the family-owned brand has been producing its Scottish gin since 2015.
McQueen said the new design will be rolled out across the rest of the portfolio in the coming months.
He added: “Although we have begun making the move to the glass bottle, our ceramic bottles will remain on shelves for some time as the changeover takes shape.”
The new glass bottles of Sweet Citrus Gin will be available in Aldi stores in Scotland while stocks last.
