Diageo launches American Anthem vodka
By Melita KielyThe world’s leading spirits producer, Diageo, has created a new vodka brand to celebrate the US – American Anthem.
American Anthem vodka aims to “celebrate the American spirit”
Five-times distilled, American Anthem is made from corn sourced from Indiana and Iowa, and bottled at 40% abv. It will be available in 750ml and 1.5l bottles.
The vodka has been designed to “celebrate the American spirit” and give back to the nation’s military veterans through two charitable partnerships.
For every bottle sold, American Anthem will donate US$1 to charity, which will be divided between Operation Gratitude and The Mission Continues – two organisations that work to support military personnel and their families.
Ryan Robertson, brand director, American Anthem, said: “It’s a privilege to partner with two great charitable organisations, Operation Gratitude and The Mission Continues and we’re honoured to be able to offer additional local engagement opportunities for consumers to give back with these partners via our brand website.”
Spencer Kympton, president of The Mission Continues, welcomed the partnership with American Anthem.
He said: “[American Anthem’s] contribution will further propel our efforts to empower veterans creating a positive impact in communities worldwide.”
