Jack Daniel’s to unveil GTR-exclusive Bottled-in-Bond whiskey

Brown-Forman is to launch a global travel retail-exclusive expression, called Jack Daniel’s Bottled-in-Bond.

Bottled-in-Bond is a new travel retail exclusive offering from the Tennessee whiskey brand

The 100 proof expression will make its TFWA Asia debut at this year’s trade show, alongside the brand’s Tennessee Rye expression – which was first announced last year.

Jack Daniel’s assistant master distiller, Chris Fletcher, will attend the event, where he will initiate the travel retail roll out for the two products.

Fletcher, who joined the brand as assistant master distiller in 2014, will be at TWFA Asia to discuss the products and host guided tastings of the two whiskeys.

Both expressions will be permanent additions to the Jack Daniel’s portfolio.

Eric Helms, marketing director for Brown-Forman Global Travel Retail, said: “Being made a member of the Jack Daniel’s family is a rare and distinct honour bestowed only on the most special products coming out of the Lynchburg Distillery.

“Such a designation is solely reserved for those products of the highest quality that reflect upon and contribute to the Jack Daniel’s reputation for superior taste, authenticity and heritage.

“These two whiskies easily meet that criteria and will be highly sought after around the world by both Jack Daniel’s fans and lovers of fine whiskies.”

Jack Daniel’s Bottled-in-Bond has been produced in accordance with the Bottled in Bond Act, which was passed into law by The United States Congress 1897.

The act requires whiskeys to be aged for at least four years and bottled at 100 proof at one distillery within a single season.
