Edinburgh Gin unveils pre-mixed range
Edinburgh Gin has released two ready-to-drink (RTD) slimline cans: a pre-mixed gin and tonic, plus the brand’s Rhubarb and Ginger Gin Liqueur combined with ginger ale.
Edinburgh Gin has launched two RTDs
The Edinburgh Gin pre-mixed G&T has an abv of 6%, while the Edinburgh Gin Rhubarb and Ginger Gin Liqueur and ginger ale has an abv of 5%.
The producer said the new expressions were in response to “consumer demand” for premium RTDs.
The G&T is available in all Scottish Tesco stores, while the Rhubarb & Ginger variant is on sale in Tesco stores throughout the UK – both at an RRP of £2 per 250ml can.
Neil Boyd, Edinburgh Gin’s UK managing director, said: “Given the size and growth of the RTD market, we were keen to offer our consumers a premium ready-to-serve range that they can enjoy whether at home or any outdoor occasion.”
It has been a busy 2018 so far for Edinburgh Gin. Earlier this month, the brand announced a collaboration with the Royal Bontanic Garden Edinburgh to create a limited-edition bottling made with “rare and exotic” botanicals from the historic gardens.
Meanwhile, in February, Edinburgh Gin added a Pomegranate & Rose Gin Liqueur to its portfolio.
Ian Macleod Distillers acquired Edinburgh Gin producer Spencerfield Spirit Company for an undisclosed sum in 2016.
