Nightlife app to expand following sales milestone

Nightlife app Drinki, which connects drinks fans with bars and brands, has announced plans to expand into more UK cities after reaching £1.5 million (US$2.1m) in sales.

Since its launch, Drinki has seen its users redeem more than 100,000 free drinks

The app, which launched in London in 2016, connects drinks fans with bars and brands through promotions and drinks offers.

Founded by Tariq Aris and Sophie Abrahamovitch, Drinki has seen its users spend more than £1.5m (US$2.1m) and redeem more than 100,000 free drinks since its launch.

Aris said: “Throughout the Drinki journey we have always kept one thing in mind, providing as much value as possible to both people and bars.

“It’s very exciting to see it all come together now and to see the amount of traction we are getting. I can walk into any of our bars for a drink and see people using the app and that’s a great feeling.”

The app, which is currently acquiring more than 14,000 new users every month in London, has announced plans to launch in further UK cities, starting with Manchester in the second quarter of this year.

Abrahamovitch said: “Over the last year and a half, we’ve been striving to deliver incredible value and service to both our users and our partner bars and brands. We’re always looking to innovate and improve and have big plans in the pipeline, starting with expansion outside of London.”

Drinki currently has more than 150 active bar partnerships with independent venues, such as Jaguar Shoes and Peckham Levels, as well as larger operators, including All Bar One.
