Diageo launches pre-mixed Tanqueray and Tonic
By Melita KielyThe world’s largest drinks group Diageo has released a ready-to-drink (RTD) version of Tanqueray and Tonic in Australia – a first for the gin brand.
Tanqueray and Tonic is available to purchase in retailers across AustraliaThe pre-mixed beverage is packaged in 275ml green glass bottles and is available to purchase in the off-trade in packs of four.
Diageo hopes the RTD will entice new gin drinkers to the “second fastest-growing” spirits category with its new pre-mixed offering.
“We know that consumers are looking for everyday premium experiences they can enjoy at home where convenience doesn’t compromise on quality,” said Drewe Letchford, Diageo Australia head of strategy and innovation. “Tanqueray and Tonic responds to that consumer demand.
“Gin is on trend right now, it’s the second fastest-growing category within spirits, and in our opinion, one of the most vibrant and interesting.”
Bottled at 5.3% abv, Tanqueray and Tonic four-packs have an RRP of AU$24.99 (US$20).
