William Grant reshuffles UK and EMEA teams

William Grant & Sons has promoted Caspar McRae to the role of marketing director for UK and Ireland, taking over from Gary Keogh who has been appointed regional marketing director of Europe, Middle East & Africa.

Caspar McRae is the new marketing director for the UK and Ireland, taking over from Gary Keogh

The announcements are a result of changes to the firm’s global commercial structure, which now consists of three regions: a newly-created EMEA region, the Americas, and Asia, which will take effect from 1 January 2018.

MacRae previously served as global brand director for Irish and American whiskeys at William Grant & Sons, where he led the development and launch of Tullamore Dew’s global campaign Beauty of Blend and the Dew and a Brew platform.

He joined William Grant & Sons in 2008 from the Edrington Group, where he held roles in regional commercial development and brand marketing.

Keogh joined the UK business as marketing director in 2013 following four years as global marketing manager for Glenfiddich.

Neil Barker, managing director UK & Ireland comments: “Gary has been monumental for the UK business and I admire the passion he has for William Grant & Sons’ ‘dram by dram’ approach to building brands for the long-term. He will be a fantastic asset to the new EMEA region.

“Caspar brings with him a wealth of international knowledge and experience of working with our brands and business. I know he will settle in quickly as we begin our 2018 journey and I look forward to working with him as we enter a new phase of growth.”

MacRae added: “I am delighted to be joining William Grant & Sons UK’s vibrant UK team. The UK is truly a centre of excellence within the global business, with passionate and talented people. I look forward to further building our premium portfolio of brands in the UK and Ireland in the new year.”
