The founders behind Croatia’s ‘first’ gin distillery are seeking to raise US$30,000 through a crowdfunding campaign to buy new equipment.

The Luftbremzer Distillery will produce craft gin made with local botanicals

The Luftbremzer Distillery will specialise in the production of gin from indigenous Croatain ingreidents

According to its Indiegogo page: “We source our botanicals from certified local herb pickers and family farms in order to produce organic and truly distinctive spirits. “

The distillery has partnered with iStill, a Dutch manufacturer of advanced distilling equipment that designs, builds and sells revolutionary distillation, fermentation, and mashing equipment. It will provide one 100 liter still which is able to produce around 150 bottles of gin in a single batch.

The craft distillery will take inspiration from Croatian wine cellars with an open door policy, where visitors can come in and taste all the products, communicate with staff and buy a bottle.

So far, the distillery has raised $5.596 of its $30,000 target. The campaign will officially end in 23 days or when the full target is achieved.
