Sailor Jerry unveils limited edition bottle design

William Grant & Sons has launched a limited edition bottle for its spiced rum Sailor Jerry in order to reinforce the brand’s “premium” credentials.

The new glossy black bottle features the iconic hula girl and the brand’s famous anchor

The new bottle has been created to showcase the brand’s heavy tattoo influence, personality, and to stand out in retail and bars.

The new design showcases a glossy black concealed wrap and features tributes to the tattoo designs of the late Norman ‘Sailor Jerry’ Collins.

The bottle image features the iconic hula girl, reminiscent of Collins’ early tattooing days inking fellow soldiers and sailors at his tattoo parlour in World War II-era Hawaii.

It also features the brand’s famous anchor – a traditional symbol of stability, which harks back to Collins’ professional sailor roots.

The limited edition bottle is available in major supermarkets at an RRP of £20.29 while stocks last.

In June, The Spirits Business named Sailor Jerry as its Rum Brand Champion 2017, after the brand passed the million case sales mark for the first time following continued success in the US.
