Pernod Ricard TR brings Havana to Heathrow

Pernod Ricard Travel Retail EMEA is promoting rum Havana Club 7 Años with an experiential pop-up at London’s Heathrow Airport Terminal 5, called The Havana Night Experience.

Set to run from 5 July to 1 August 2017, the activity is billed as a celebration of the rum “through the colour, sounds and scents of its Cuban birthplace”.

The pop-up is dressed in plants, and features stained glass windows and Cuban produce such as fresh fruit and coffee beans.

A soundscape and aromas of rum will be used to immerse passengers in a “Havana night”.

Once inside the experience visitors will receive a complimentary Havana Club 7 Años tasting and be educated on the brand’s ‘continuous ageing’ process, where part of each batch is matured repeatedly.

Consumers can choose between one of four limited edition “Essences of Cuba” natural flavourings, offered as a gift-with-purchase, to bring out the tasting notes in the rum.

The essences are designed for use in cocktails and will enable customers to create serves such as the Havana Club 7 Old Fashioned at home.

Earlier this year Pernod Ricard released Havana Club Tributo 2017, the second instalment in a series of limited edition sipping rums from the brand’s aged reserves.
