Bloom Gin embarks on first GTR activation

Quintessential Brands has launched the first global travel retail activation for its Bloom Gin brand in collaboration with World Duty Free.

Bloom Gin’s first global travel retail activation is taking place at Gatwick Airport

Taking place at Gatwick Airport’s South Terminal throughout May, the activation will offer travellers Bloom Gin with tonic and strawberries.

Bloom Gin launched in European travel retail last year and is now distributed throughout the channel by World Duty Free and Heinemann.

The brand’s distribution footprint has grown since the launch of its new bottle design and label in June last year, according to Quintessential Brands, which also produces the Greenall’s and Opihr gin brands.

“We’re delighted to be launching our first Bloom Gin travel retail activation in partnership with World Duty Free,” said Oliver Storrie, global travel retail manager at Quintessential Brands. “Gatwick South Terminal is one of the busiest terminals in the UK and we’re sure travellers will enjoy tasting the signature serve of Bloom Gin & Tonic with strawberries at the Bloom Gin bar.

“As a result of the promotion, sales of Bloom Gin have far exceeded our expectations and targets on a campaign of this nature.”

The activation will run from 3 May until the end of the month. One-litre Bloom Gin bottles will be on sale at Gatwick for £30.99.
