Tito’s to plug distribution gaps in Asia

The team behind Tito’s Handmade Vodka has said its key aim around the TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference is to fill distribution gaps across the region, including China, Taiwan and Japan.

Tito’s Handmade Vodka will use TFWA AP to plug distribution gaps

With airports and border stores a priority, the Texas-based brand hopes to build on recent gains in Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand.

Tito’s is exhibiting at the TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference in May to tell the story of the brand and tap into the global interest in Americana. With millennials as a target demographic, Asia is an important region as it is home to 60% of the global age bracket, it adds.

“Tito’s Handmade Vodka is gaining an increasingly strong foothold in the region and quickly building a loyal fan-base outside of the US, generating a great opportunity for operators to capitalise on the American craft spirits trend,” said John McDonnell, managing director of Tito’s International.

“We look forward to meeting with potential partners and operators at TFWA Singapore to embark on the next phase of development and embed the brand further in this important region.”

In addition to showcasing the main vodka expression, Tito’s will have on-stand a series of seasonal gift backs which can be used to celebrate special occasions, such as Chinese New Year.

Key topics of conversation with retail partners will be the benefit of craft spirits displays and attracting millennials, the brand continues.

Barry Geoghegan, who works with Tito’s as a duty free specialist, added: “We introduced Tito’s to key locations in Asia just last year and are really pleased with how the brand is gaining traction amongst all nationalities of travellers in the region.

“This year the new gift bags will extend our on-shelf presence and provide the perfect choice to celebrate special occasions across the year.”

Tito’s Handmade Vodka is available through a number of operators in the region, including DFS Group, King Power Thailand, Heinemann, Lotte, James Richardson, ARI and Shilla.

In January, Tito’s appointed LMDW Distribution as its distributor throughout France for both on- and off-trade.
