Tippling Club announces month of bar takeovers

Singapore bar and restaurant Tippling Club is set to host a month of takeovers in partnership with noted cocktail and culinary luminaries coinciding with the city-state’s annual cocktail festival.

Singapore Cocktail Festival takes place from 16 to 21 March 2017. To mark the occasion, the Tippling Club team is extending its Sensorium Menu in partnership with International Flavors and Fragrances.

The limited edition Cosmos Menu features five “futuristic” cocktails inspired by scents which “orbit the olfactory mysteries of outer space”. The serves were developed building on the Sensorium Menu, which seeks to highlight memory triggering scents, and will only be available during the Festival week.

Cocktails include Moon, made with “Moon Milk”, white wine, citrus and Jameson; Sun, a blend of “heat”, sunflower honey, citrus and Havana Club rum; Space, which includes “Stars”, carraway, citrus, and Absolut Elyx; Milky Way, a mix of “meteorites”, cold brew coffee, honey, salted caramel, cream, and Aberlour Sotch whisky; and Xenomorph, made with liquorice, blackcurrant, citrus and  Monkey 47 Gin.

Next, following a one-night-only visit from The American Bar at The Savoy’s Dominic Whisson last month, the team from Tony Conigliaro’s Bar Termini will bring aperitivo hour to Singapore on Saturday 18 March.

Bar Termini’s signature Negronis will take centre stage, prepared by guest bartenders Gregory Camillò and Robin Kole. The serves will be paired with Italian fare created by Tippling Club’s chef Ayo Adeyemi.

Pastries then come to the fore on 21 March, when international pastry chef Will Goldfarb brings his dessert bar concept, Room4Dessert, to Tippling Club for a cocktail pairing evening developed with chef-owner Ryan Clift. The resulting five courses include two savoury offerings and three of Goldfarb’s inventive desserts.

Rounding off the month, Tippling Club will host S. Pellegrino Young Chef 2016 winner Mitch Lienhard from Manresa in Los Gatos, California, who will offer a lunch and dinner experience again in partnership with Clift.
