Berry Good launches Cofaidh Liqueur
Artisan producer Berry Good is to launch Scotland’s ‘first’ cold brew coffee liqueur, called Cofaidh Liqueur.
Berry Good, which relocated to Speyside in 2016 to share premises with Moray Distillery, has added the expression to its small batch liqueur range.
Cofaidh (Gaelic for coffee) Liqueur is made from freshly roasted coffee beans from local roasters, using a cold brew style of production to allow an “increased depth of flavour” to be released from the beans.
Jill Brown, owner of Berry Good, said: “I developed the recipe about 18 months ago so I’m delighted at last to be releasing our latest liqueur. We’ve had a lot of fun with espresso martinis recently, as well as interest from the on-trade sector.”
The first batch will be bottled and labelled by hand, and available online and via independent stockists.
The Cofaidh Liqueur launch marks the latest development in a busy year for Berry Good, which produces a range of gin liqueurs, fruit liqueurs and Limoncello. Its relocation to new premises has allowed an increase in production to meet high demand.
