31Dover unveils ‘Kama-Shotra’ Valentine’s campaign
By Annie HayesOnline drinks retailer 31Dover has taken a tongue-in-cheek approach to Valentine’s Day this year with the release of real-life doodle animation ‘The Kama-Shotra’.
Eschewing the usual red rose and candlelit dinner stereotype associated with 14 February, the light-hearted 60-second video sees popular drinks brought to life in suggestive positions.
“Every year we see the same thing… music, flowers, chocolates and romantic dinners,” said Marie Burns, social & digital marketing manager at 31Dover. “This year, we wanted to bring something different to the table and not only remind people of the fun side of Valentine’s Day but put a smile on their faces and make them laugh.”
The campaign aims to express that Valentine’s Day should be a “happy, light-hearted celebration”, and encourage people to “get together and share a drink whilst rediscovering the fun side of romance”.
Rachael Jones, content editor at 31Dover, said: “The gift of a beautifully-wrapped bottle of something sparkling is much better than a piece of ‘sparkling’ jewellery when it comes to celebrating together and raising a glass to the one you love.”
