Tullamore Dew kicks off ‘Dew and a Brew’
William Grant & Sons-owned Tullamore Dew Irish whiskey has launched its ‘Dew and a Brew’ tour in the US to encourage drinkers to pair Irish whiskey with beer.
The Dew and a Brew tour kicks off in Los Angeles with Santa Monica Brew Works
Tullamore Dew has teamed up with Time Out North America and independent breweries across the country for the tour, which aims to educate drinkers on how different beers complement its whiskey.
Led by Tullamore Dew brand ambassador Jane Maher, the tour will include consumer events, special brewery collaborations, bartender education and Tullamore Dew promotions with local beer partners at participating bars and retailers across the country.
The Dew and a Brew tour will kick off in Los Angeles with Santa Monica Brew Works and finish in Chicago on St. Patrick’s Day (17 March) with a celebration co-hosted with BuckleDown Brewing. Additionally, on St. Patrick’s Day, select breweries from the tour will debut special beer releases specially crafted to be paired with various expressions of Tullamore Dew.
“As an Irish woman with a background in both the beer and whiskey industries, I have long enjoyed the tradition of a pint and a drop,” said Maher. “All of our brewery partners have such colourful backstories and I look forward to showcasing how Tullamore Dew unlocks different flavours in a wide range of America’s most delicious craft brews.”
Paige Parness, senior brand manager for Tullamore Dew, said: “The Dew and a Brew tour will offer an immersive and engaging consumer experience that capitalises on the side-by-side history of beer and whiskey as a classic pairing.”
“We hope to introduce both beer and whiskey lovers to a new and interactive tasting experience that moves beyond the ‘shot and a beer’ serve to a more comprehensive savouring of the two beverages.”
In August this year, Tullamore Dew partnered with Harrods to introduce a new range of single malt Irish whiskeys to the UK.
