Beam Suntory has appointed David Campbell to the newly created role of vice president, integrated marketing communications
In the new position, effective 5 December, Campbell will create an integrated marketing platform spanning content creation, connections planning, digital activity, brand integration and the company’s in-house creative agency.
Campbell will be based in Chicago reporting to Rebecca Messina, global chief marketing officer.
He joins Beam Suntory from The Coca-Cola Company where he held a number of roles over eleven years, most recently marketing director of the Venturing and Emerging Brands portfolio. He previously worked in the global marketing organisation and delivered Coca-Cola campaigns for the 2012 London Olympics and 2014 FIFA World Cup.
Campbell holds a Bachelor’s degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta and a Master’s from Columbia University in New York City. He has a passion for art education, and sits on the board at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD).
“We couldn’t be happier to be bringing David on board to complement our incredibly talented team,” said Messina.
“He’ll play an integral role in our marketing and innovation journey focused on brand building in a data-driven, digitally enabled world.”
Earlier this month, Beam Suntory reported mid-single-digit growth in the first nine months of this year, bolstered by solid gains in international markets.
