Our/Vodka introduces DIY infusion kits

Pernod Ricard-owned concept Our/Vodka has launched Our/Infusions – four at-home infusion kits comprising oak, juniper, citrus and tea that transform the flavour of brand’s core expression.

Our/Infusions transform the flavour of brand’s core expression

Our/Oak Infusion is an oak-flavoured botanical blend that turns the vodka into a brown spirit with flavours of “warm toasted oak, sweet vanilla and a hint of smoke” after 8-15 hours of infusion.

Juniper-flavoured botanical blend Our/Juniper Infusion – or  Our/Gin Spices Infusion in the US – makes the expression resemble gin in flavour after 8-15 hours.

Our/Citrus Infusion is a citrus-flavoured botanical blend which gives the vodka a taste of “fresh citrus and grapefruit” after just ten minutes, while Our/Tea Infusion – Classic Earl is a bergamot-flavoured tea blend from Paper & Tea.

After ten minutes, the vodka has a “strong tea body”, coupled with bergamot and “a hint of leather and caramel”.

Kalle Söderquist, co-founder and creative director of Our/Vodka said: “Within the bartender community we’ve seen endless creativity the last couple of years. Everyone adds their own personal touch to their cocktail ingredients.

“Combined with an urban DIY trend when it comes to everything food and drinks, we believe that our range of Our/Infusion kits are changing the spirits industry by helping the end consumer to create something entirely new from a bottle of Our/Vodka.”

The idea to offer infusion kits first came to life in the Berlin distillery following a local collaboration.

“In each city, local partners are in charge of the distillery and developing the brand their own way,” added Söderquist.

“When Our/Berlin teamed up with tea company Paper & Tea and created tea infusion kits, it became an instant success. Inspired by this we have created these four infusion kits for the whole Our/Vodka family.”

The kits will be available at all Our/Vodka distilleries in Europe from October 17, and in the US from early next year.
