Jägermeister transforms on-trade for Halloween

Following the success of last year’s Halloween activity, Jägermeister has launched new and improved ‘Zombie Takeover’ kits to help retailers profit from the celebrations.

The brand will also be launching Halloween films, social media activity and on-trade promotions alongside the decorative kits, which are designed to transform on-trade outlets into locations “fit for ‘the undead’”.

This year’s kits feature a selection of props and accessories to create the illusion of a zombie apocalypse – such as window stickers, window vinyls, bar posters, wall graphics, and ‘Zombie contamination’ crime scene tape.

The kits include t-shirts and zombie make up kits for staff, while zombie skull cap consumer giveaways and tent cards complete the ‘Zombie Takeover’ look.

Retailers are also encouraged to capitalise on the “versatility” of Jägermeister with a Halloween-inspired drinks menu containing easy-to-replicate ‘Zombie Takedown’ and ‘Zombie Brain; cocktails.

Nicole Goodwin, marketing director, Mast-Jaegermeister UK, said: “Consumers have grown to associate Halloween with Jägermeister – it’s a dark, mysterious and complex spirit that’s perfect for Halloween celebrations.

“To build on the success of the last two years we have evolved the ‘Zombie Takeover’ kits making them bigger, better and of course, scarier than ever before.

“For 2016 we are meeting our customer’s needs by maximising the brand’s on-trade presence to secure Jägermeister’s position as the best-selling spirit of Halloween.”

The kits are available now with the purchase of two cases of stock (12 bottles of Jägermeister, 12 bottles of Jägermeister Spice, or a combination of both).
