Metal band Rammstein to release own Tequila
German heavy metal band Rammstein has unveiled a new Tequila that includes a leather case and cast iron cap bearing a 3D version of the band’s logo.
The new bottling has been described as “silky smooth with a sweet aftertaste”
Made and bottled by hand especially for the German group, the Tequila comes wrapped in a leather case which laces up the back.
Rammstein Tequila has been aged in French oak barrels for at least eight months. The new bottling has been described as “conserved fruit and agave aromas paired with vanilla and caramel notes, that is silky smooth with a sweet aftertaste”.
The Tequila is not Rammstein’s first foray into the drinks market – the band also launched their own vodka in 2014.
Rammstein Tequila is currently only being shipped within Germany and parts of Europe. The new bottle is available from the Rammstein shop online at the price of €79.00 (US$88.00) for a 70cl bottle.
Rammstein is not the first band to launch its own Tequila. In June this year, rock band AC/DC unveiled Thunderstruck Tequila.
