Dirty Martini acquires ninth site

UK leisure operator CG Restaurants & Bars has continued its Dirty Martini expansion plan with the acquisition of Mary-Jane’s bar in London from the Mint Group for an undisclosed sum.

Dirty Martini has expanded from its original Covent Garden location

Located in Minories, the City of London, the 6,500 square foot venue will become the ninth bar in the Dirty Martini chain.

CG will invest £1.2 million in the site, and all Mary-Jane’s staff will transfer to CG Restaurants & Bars.

Scott Matthews, chief executive officer at Dirty Martini, said: “This is an incredibly exciting opportunity for Dirty Martini. Over the last three years we have had outstanding success in the City, growing by 8% YTD versus 2015 and we strongly feel that Dirty Martini Minories will be a great addition to the portfolio.”

Since opening the first bar in Covent Garden, the Dirty Martini brand has enjoyed rapid growth, and now operates seven cocktail bars in London. It will open its first site outside of London in Cardiff this October.
